For five (5)days,thirty (30) women from three (3) host-communities in Sto.Tomas, Batangas and thirty-eight (38)from Hermosa, Bataan, participated in the livelihood training on Basic Cosmetology dubbed as “Ganda Mo… Hanap-buhay Ko” which was conducted on January 25 to February 1, 2019 and February 24 to March 1, 2019, respectively in partnership with the Ang Hortaleza Foundation, Inc.
As of date, most of the trained women are already applying their skills acquired from the training and in fact earning an average of P150 per day or at least P1,000 per week as additional income for the family.
Continued monitoring is being done since the success of this initiative is a significant factor to replicate it to other areas of IGFI.
