All of IGFI’s 245 sponsored kids through its Tulong Pambaon Project (TPP) have completed their education for the school year 2018-2019. At least thirteen (13) of them even completed their educational level with recognitions and honors, i.e. twelve of them completed their grade level with honors and one (1) received perfect attendance. Based on the initial assessment done with the teachers, parents and sponsored students themselves, the completion and achievements have been attributed to the support given by the 62 ICCP Group employees through IGFI. Without which, they will have a hard time going to school to participate in and complete their education for the current school year.
The 245 student-beneficiaries are distributed to IGFI sites namely: 70 from Malvar, Batangas (LISP IV), 34 from Sto. Tomas, Batangas (LISP III/PDO), another 20 from Cabuyao, Laguna (LISP I), 41 from Calamba, Laguna (LISP II), 27 from Hermosa, Bataan (HEIP), 10 from San Fernando, Pampanga (PDO), 24 from Lapulapu, Cebu (CLIP/PDO) and another 20 from Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental (PDO). IGFI’s TPP has increased its beneficiaries this school year (2018-2019) with 245 beneficiaries compared to 188 last school year and 62 ICCP Group employees committed to support the iniative compared to only 45 last year.
With another successful project implementation, it is essential to sustain the effort in the succeeding school year so that more indigent kids shall benefit to at least complete their primary education.
