The immersion activity of senior high school students from Cabuyao and Calamba, Laguna, Sto. Tomas, Batangas, Lapulapu, Cebu and Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental to the locators of Light Industry and Science Parks I, II and III, Cebu Light and Industrial Park (CLIP) and to PDO various project sites has culminated on February 2019. A total of 492 students completed the said activity who were deployed to various locators who acquired practical knowledge and hands-on exposure which started last November 2018.
Generally, the immersion activity aimed at helping the students to develop their life and career skills and to prepare them to make decisions on post secondary education or employment. The immersion to locators aimed specifically at appreciating the importance and application of the principles and theories learned from school, enhance their technical knowledge and skills, enrich their skills in communications and human relations, and develop good work habits, attitudes, appreciation and respect for work.
Locators who participated in the program appreciated much the immersion process since they were able to contribute significantly in the educational development of the students. Some participating locators in fact signified interest to accommodate more students in the next immersion activity. Also, other locators who did not participate have now expressed interest to accommodate students in the next school year.
