In partnership with Grolier International, wholly-owned subsidiary of Scholastics, Inc., the world’s largest book publisher and distributor of children’s books, a learning activity was conducted in one of the host communities in Brgy. Del Carmen, San Fernando, Pampanga. Supported by Pueblo de Oro Pampanga, the pilot session was held on May 18, 2019.
Around 120 participants composed of children and parents attended the learning session focused on children’s early literacy and multiple intelligence enhancement. Children’s books worth P10,000 were also distributed to the participant-learners to complement and encourage continuous learning at home. The learning activity will be replicated in other host areas of IGFI.
